Official rule text
[BR-S-09]-The VAT category tax amount (BT-117) in a VAT breakdown (BG-23) where VAT category code (BT-118) is "Standard rated" shall equal the VAT category taxable amount (BT-116) multiplied by the VAT category rate (BT-119).
What it means
In every standard-rated breakdown entry, BT-117 must equal BT-116 x BT-119. This is the per-category twin of BR-CO-17 and usually fires with it: the tax amount was summed from per-line VAT instead of recomputed from the aggregated taxable base, leaving a one-cent difference.
How to fix it
Recompute cbc:TaxAmount (BT-117) = cbc:TaxableAmount (BT-116) x cbc:Percent (BT-119) / 100 for each S subtotal, rounding once at the end rather than summing line-level VAT.
Business terms involved: BT-117BT-116BT-119BT-118
