BR-CO-15

Error (blocking) EN 16931 (UBL)EN 16931 (CII)

Official rule text

[BR-CO-15]-Invoice total amount with VAT (BT-112) = Invoice total amount without VAT (BT-109) + Invoice total VAT amount (BT-110).

What it means

The total with VAT (BT-112) must equal BT-109 + BT-110. The UBL binding additionally requires exactly one cac:TaxTotal/cbc:TaxAmount in the document currency to do the comparison. Typical failures: TaxInclusiveAmount copied from the ERP while the XML totals were rebuilt, or rounding each term independently so the sum is off by one cent.

How to fix it

Compute cbc:TaxInclusiveAmount (BT-112) as cbc:TaxExclusiveAmount (BT-109) + the document-currency cac:TaxTotal/cbc:TaxAmount (BT-110), rounded to two decimals, and make sure exactly one TaxAmount carries the BT-5 currency.

Business terms involved: BT-112BT-109BT-110
